| ndia registered their third win a row with a hard fought 1-0 win over Atletico played at the Sporting Academy training ground here at Lisbon on Wednesday evening. India drew first blood and took an early lead through in-form striker Mohammed Rafi in the 6th minute. Abhishek Yadav provided the pass, which was neatly converted by the Churchill Brother striker. Atletico too gave a better account of themselves after trailing by a goal, but failed produce any magic in the first half as both the teams went for the breather with the scoreline reading 1-0 in favour of the Bob Houghton coached side. After the lemon break, there was no addition in the scoreline as India sealed the match to complete their hat-trick of wins. |
