Both semi-finals will be played tomorrow. In quarter-final matches played today, watched by St Xavier's Chairman Andrew Gosain, St Xavier's routed St Joseph School, also of Sector 44 by 5-0 while in a contrasting style St Kabir prevailed over a fighting St Solider's of Mohali by 2-1. In other quarter-final outings, St Anne's snuffed out the challenge of Satluj Public School of Panchkula by 3-1 on penalties after played a goalless draw and St Solider's International, Sector 28 beat Chandigarh Baptish by two second-half goals without reply. The quarter-final match between St Xavier's and St Joseph's turned out to be one-sided affairs with the hosts playing to a plan and proper coordination. St Joseph's put up a plucky fight till they conceded their first goal in the 10 th minute. Sanyukt caught the Joseph's goalkeeper on the wrong foot with a perfect shot. Just before the half time, Gagan netted to give his team a 2-0 lead. St Xavier's maintained their pressure and fully enjoyed the territorial supremacy in the second half. Lal Gopal struck two goals within a span of two minutes. He scored in the 18 th and 19 th minute. Gagan then completed his brace with a goal in the 20 th minute. St Kabir faced a stiff challenge before edging out St Solider's of Mohali by 2-1. In fact it was St Soldier's who drew the first blood through Rajdeep Singh in the sixth minute. Down by a goal, St Kabir swung into action and Arjit neutralized the lead in the 11 th minute. Sukhvinder Singh clinched the winner for St Kabir in the 19 th minute. In the third quarter-final, St Anne's and Satluj Public School were held to a goalless draw in the regulation period. In the tie-breaker session, Pankaj, Siddharth and Sam Verghese converted their penalties for St Anne's. Jitesh was the lone scorer for SP School. After an unproductive first half, St Solider's International displayed their class by scoring through Sumit (25 th ) and Anuj (30 th ) to oust Chandigarh Baptist by 2-0. Earlier, in a pre-quarter-final match, Justine performed a hat-trick as St Solider's of Mohali beat St Xavier's, also of Mohali by 3-0. Other pre-quarter-final results: St Kabir (Gautam Sharma, 13 th , Sanchit 24 th ) bt Mount Carmel-47 by 2-0; Satluj PS (Bhupinder 9 th , 12 th ) bt Ajit Karam Singh International Public School-41 by 2-0; St Anne's (Sam Verghese 8 th , Pankaj 9 th , 10 th , 14 th ) bt Shishu Niketan-22 by 4-0; St Solider's-28 (Sumit Randhawa 9 th , 21 st , Sumit Dhankar 29th) bt St John's-26 (Barinder 23 rd ) by 3-1; Chandigarh Baptist   bt Delhi Public School-40 4-3 (1-1 regulation period) on penalties.   Tomorrow's fixtures (semi-finals): St Xavier's-44 vs St Kabir (8.30 a.m.) and St Solider's International-28 vs St Anne's-32 (9.15 p.m.).
