AIFF postpones second Bob Houghton hearing | Top |
Today was earmarked as the second date for the hearing of Bob Houghton on the show cause notice send to him by the AIFF, but the federation postponed the hearing as the AIFF constituted panel hasn't been able to go through all the concerned documents. On April 11 the first hearing had been held where Bob Houghton had appeared with his lawyer Anish Dayal. There the India coach presented his side of the three points mentioned in the show cause notice and handed in a document of 75 to 80 pages about the concerned allegations in detail. The three points where: 1. Allegations of Racism by an Indian fourth official, 2. Under-performance by the national team at the 2011 AFC Asian Cup, 3. Open criticism by Bob Houghton against the AIFF in the international media. The AIFF will finalise the date for a second hearing once the panel has gone through all the documents and has their necessary answers in place.
