| ഫുട്ബോള് 09 എന്ത്‌ പറ്റി കേരളാ ഫുട്‌ബോളിന്‌ എന്ന ചോദ്യം പഴഞ്ചനാണ്‌... നമ്മുടെ ഫുട്‌ബോളിന്‌ ഇനി ഒന്നും സംഭവിക്കാനില്ല-അപകടമേഖലയിലെ നൂല്‍പ്പാലത്തിലുടെയാണ്‌ ഇപ്പോള്‍ സഞ്ചാരം. പക്ഷേ ഫുട്ബോള് തല്‍പ്പരതക്ക്‌ മുമ്പത്തെക്കാള്‍ ഉണര്‍വ്‌ ലഭിക്കുമ്പോള്‍, കോച്ചിംഗ്‌ ക്യാമ്പുകളിലേക്കും അവധിക്കാല ക്യാമ്പുകളിലേക്കും കുട്ടികള്‍ പ്രവഹിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ പ്രതീക്ഷകള്‍ വീണ്ടും തളിര്‍ക്കുകയാണ്‌... 2009 എന്ന വര്‍ഷം ഫുട്‌ബോളില്‍ നേട്ടങ്ങളില്‍ നമുക്ക്‌ വട്ടപൂജ്യമാണെങ്കിലും കൗമാരാകര്‍ഷണത്തില്‍ പ്രതീക്ഷകളുടെ പൂക്കാലമാണ്‌. ചാനലുകളില്‍ ലയണല്‍ മെസിയെ പോലുളളവരെ വീക്ഷിക്കുന്ന കുരുന്നുകള്‍ ഇ.എസ്‌.പി.എന്നിലും സ്‌റ്റാര്‍ സ്‌പോര്‍ട്‌സിലും സീസ്‌പോര്‍ട്‌സിലുമെല്ലാമായി യൂറോപ്യന്‍ ഫുട്‌ബോളിന്റെ മാസ്‌മരകിത തല്‍സമയം ആസ്വദിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ നമ്മുടെ സോക്കര്‍ ഭാവി ആശാവഹമല്ലേ-കമാല്‍ വരദൂര്‍ നടത്തുന്ന ഒരന്വേഷണം. രണ്ട്‌ ദിവസങ്ങളിലായി സ്‌പോര്‍ട്‌സ്‌ ചന്ദ്രികയില്‍ വായിക്കുക. കേരളത്തില്‍ ലഭ്യമായ കണക്കുകള്‍ പ്രകാരം 2009 ലെ മൂന്ന്‌ സ്‌ക്കൂള്‍ അവധികാലങ്ങളിലായി 73 ഫുട്ബോള് കോച്ചിംഗ്‌ ക്യാമ്പുകളാണ്‌ അരങ്ങേറിയത്‌. മലബാറിലെ ജില്ലകളില്‍ മാത്രം അമ്പതോളം ക്യാമ്പുകള്‍. ഈ ക്യാമ്പുകളിലേക്ക്‌ വന്നത്‌ മൂവായിരത്തോളം കുട്ടികള്‍. കാല്‍പ്പന്തിന്റെ വിസ്‌മയ ലോകത്തേക്ക്‌ സ്വയം ആകൃഷ്‌ടരായും രക്ഷിതാക്കളുടെ പ്രേരണയാലും വന്ന കുരുന്നു പ്രതിഭകള്‍ക്ക്‌ വിത്തും വളവും നല്‍കാന്‍ വിഖ്യാതരായ മുന്‍കാല ഫുട്‌ബോളര്‍മാരും രംഗത്തെത്തി. ഗോള്‍ക്കീപ്പിംഗ്‌ ക്യാമ്പും മാനസികാരോഗ്യ ക്യാമ്പും ഫിസിക്കല്‍ ഫിറ്റ്‌നസ്‌ ക്യാമ്പുമെല്ലാമായി കുട്ടികളെ ശരിക്കും ആകര്‍ഷിക്കുന്ന ഹ്രസ്വ കളരികളില്‍ വന്ന കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക്‌ ലോകത്തിന്റെ സോക്കര്‍ ഗതിവിഗതികള്‍ നന്നായി അറിയാം. ഔദ്യോഗിക തലത്തില്‍ ഏഷ്യന്‍ ഫുട്ബോള് ഫെഡറേഷന്റെ ക്യാമ്പുകള്‍ സജീവമായപ്പോള്‍ ഇന്റര്‍ സ്‌ക്കൂള്‍തല ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പുകള്‍ പല വേദികളിലായി ആകര്‍ഷകമായി നടന്നു. മലപ്പുറത്തെ എം.എസ്‌.പി സ്‌ക്കൂളും മുര്‍ക്കനാട്‌ സ്‌ക്കൂളും കോഴിക്കോടെ മലബാര്‍ കൃസ്‌ത്യന്‍ കോളജ്‌ സ്‌ക്കൂള്‍ ടീമുമെല്ലാം കളി മികവില്‍ എല്ലാവരെയും ആകര്‍ഷിച്ചു. കോഴിക്കോട്‌ ആസ്ഥാനമായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന സ്‌പോര്‍ട്‌സ്‌ എഡ്യൂക്കേഷന്‍ പ്രൊമോഷ്‌ന്‍ ട്രസ്‌റ്റിന്റെ കുട്ടികള്‍ ഒന്നിലധികം തവണ വിദേശ പര്യടനങ്ങള്‍ നടത്തി. യൂറോപ്യന്‍ ടീമുകളെ പരാജയപ്പെടുത്താന്‍ പോലും ഈ കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കായി. ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഫുട്ബോള് ക്യാമ്പുകള്‍ എന്ന്‌ പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ സംഘാടകര്‍ക്ക്‌ വലിയ താല്‍പ്പര്യമാണ്‌. ക്യാമ്പുകളിലേക്ക്‌ വരുന്ന അപേക്ഷകള്‍ വര്‍ദ്ധിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ സെലക്ഷന്‍ പ്രക്രിയ എളുപ്പമല്ല. ഈ സെലക്ഷന്‍ വിഷമത്തില്‍ നിന്നും നല്ല കുട്ടികളെ ലഭിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ പഴയ കാല വിഖ്യാതര്‍ ഒരു കാര്യം സമ്മതിക്കുന്നു-നമ്മുടെ ഫുട്ബോള് ഭാവിക്ക്‌ മരണമില്ല. പക്ഷേ തേച്ചുമിനുക്കാനും സംരക്ഷിക്കാനും ഔദ്യോഗിക സഹായം വേണം. ഇനി അല്‍പ്പം ഫ്‌ളാഷ്‌ബാക്ക്‌: വി.പി സത്യനും ഐ.എം വിജയനും യു.ഷറഫലിയും സി.വി പാപ്പച്ചനും, കെ.ടി ചാക്കോയും കുരികേശ്‌ മാത്യൂവും ജോപോള്‍ അഞ്ചേരിയുമെല്ലാം ഒരു കാലത്ത്‌ നമ്മുടെ ഫുട്‌ബോളിലെ ചിരപ്രതിഷ്‌ഠാ നാമങ്ങളായിരുന്നു. കേരളാ പോലീസും എഫ്‌.സി കൊച്ചിനുമെല്ലാം കേരളത്തിന്റെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട ടീമുകളും. സേട്ട്‌ നാഗ്‌ജി അമര്‍സിയും ചാക്കോളയും ശ്രീനാരായണയും മാമ്മന്‍മാപ്പിളയും ജി.വി രാജ ട്രോഫികളുമെല്ലാം കേരളം കാത്തിരുന്ന ഫുട്ബോള് ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പുകളായിരുന്നു. കോഴിക്കോട്‌ കോര്‍പ്പറേഷന്‍ സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തിലും കണ്ണൂരിലെ നെഹ്‌റു സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തിലും തൃശൂരിലെ മുന്‍സിപ്പല്‍ മൈതാനത്തും കൊച്ചിയിലെ മഹാരാജാസ്‌ മൈതാനത്തും തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തെ ചന്ദ്രശേഖരന്‍ നായര്‍ സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തിലുമെല്ലാം കാല്‍പ്പന്തിന്റെ ആരവങ്ങള്‍ക്കൊപ്പം ഉയര്‍ന്ന ആഹ്ലാദത്തില്‍ ഫുട്ബോള് നന്മയുടെ ജീവനുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ആ സുവര്‍ണ്ണ കാലത്തിന്‌ ശേഷം ഫുട്‌ബോളില്‍ കേരളം വളരെ വേഗം വട്ടപൂജ്യമായി. ഇന്ന്‌ ദേശീയ തലത്തില്‍ നമ്മുടെ മേജര്‍ ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പായ ഐ ലീഗില്‍ കേരളത്തിന്‌ ഒരു പ്രതിനിധി മാത്രം, ദേശീയ ടീമില്‍ മലയാളികളുടെ സാന്നിദ്ധ്യം തന്നെ കുറയുന്നു. ഈയിടെ ധാക്കയില്‍ നടന്ന സാഫ്‌ കപ്പില്‍ കളിച്ച ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സംഘത്തില്‍ ഒരു മലയാളി പോലുമുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. ദേശീയ സീനിയര്‍ സംഘത്തില്‍ അവസാന ഇലവനിലെ സ്ഥിരം സാന്നിദ്ദ്യം ഒരാള്‍ മാത്രം-എന്‍.പി പ്രദീപ്‌. ഇങ്ങനെ അത്യുന്നതങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്ന്‌ ഒറ്റയടിക്ക്‌ നമ്മുടെ ഫുട്ബോള് അഗാധങ്ങളിലേക്ക്‌ അധ:പതിച്ചതിന്റെ കാരണങ്ങള്‍ പലവുരു ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്‌പ്പെട്ടതാണ്‌. പക്ഷേ അധികൃതര്‍ കണ്ണ്‌ തുറന്നില്ല. പരാതികള്‍ ഫുട്ബോള് പ്രേമികളുടെ വനരോദനങ്ങളായി മാറി. ഫെഡറേഷന്‍ കപ്പിലും സന്തോഷ്‌ ട്രോഫിയിലും ഡ്യൂറാന്‍ഡ്‌ കപ്പിലുമെല്ലാം കേരളാ ടീമുകള്‍ തോല്‍ക്കാന്‍ മാത്രമുള്ള അതിഥികളായി. ദേശീയ ലീഗ്‌ ഫുട്ബോള് 1996-97 വര്‍ഷത്തില്‍ ആരംഭിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ കേരളത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിനിധികള്‍ കേരളാ പോലീസായിരുന്നു. പക്ഷേ യോഗ്യതാ മല്‍സരങ്ങളില്‍ അവര്‍ അവസാന സ്ഥാനത്തായി. കുറച്ചുകാലത്തിനകം പോലീസ്‌ ടീം എന്നൊന്നില്ലാതെയായി. ഫെഡറേഷന്‍ കപ്പ്‌ ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ കേരളത്തിന്‌ വലിയ നേട്ടങ്ങള്‍ സമ്മാനിച്ച ടീമായിരുന്നു അതെന്ന്‌ ഓര്‍ക്കണം. 1997 ല്‍ രാജ്യത്തെ ആദ്യ പ്രൊഫഷണല്‍ ക്ലബായി എഫ്‌.സി കൊച്ചിന്‍ വന്നപ്പോള്‍ ഫുട്ബോള് പ്രേമികള്‍ മനസ്സാ ആ ടീമിനെ സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്‌തു. ടീമിനെ സ്‌പോണ്‍സര്‍ ചെയ്യാന്‍ യു.ബി ഗ്രൂപ്പും കിറ്റ്‌ സ്‌പോണ്‍സറായി റീബോക്കും വന്നപ്പോള്‍ അത്‌ ചരിത്ര സംഭവമായിരുന്നു. ആദ്യ വര്‍ഷത്തില്‍ തന്നെ ടീമിന്‌ ഡ്യൂറാന്‍ഡ്‌ കപ്പ്‌. ഔദ്യോഗിക കാരണങ്ങളാല്‍ ഫെഡറേഷന്‍ കപ്പില്‍ കളിക്കാന്‍ അവസരം നിഷേധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടും ദേശീയ ലീഗില്‍ അവര്‍ നാലാമത്‌ വന്നു. പക്ഷേ പ്രൊഫഷണല്‍ ക്ലബായിട്ടും താരങ്ങളോട്‌ പ്രൊഫഷണലായി നില്‍ക്കാന്‍ മാനേജ്‌മെന്റിന്‌ കഴിയാതെ വന്നതോടെ സൂപ്പര്‍ താരങ്ങള്‍ കൂടുവിട്ടു. അതോടെ എഫ്‌.സി അതിവേഗം വിസ്‌മൃതിയിലേക്ക്‌ പോയി. പിന്നെ എസ്‌.ബി.ടിയുടെ ഊഴമായിരുന്നു. കേരളത്തിന്റെ മാത്രം കുട്ടികളുടെ ടീം. ആസിഫ്‌ സഹീറും ഇഗ്‌നേഷ്യസും അബ്ദുള് ഹക്കീമും അബ്ദുള് നൗഷാദും പിന്നെ സ്വന്തം കോച്ച്‌ മുഹമ്മദ്‌ നജീബും. വളരെ പെട്ടെന്ന്‌ ഉയരങ്ങളിലെത്തിയ ഈ ടീമിന്‌ വിനയായത്‌ സ്വന്തം ക്യാമ്പിലെ കുഴപ്പം തന്നെ. പരിശീലകനെതിരെ പലരും ചേര്‍ന്ന്‌ പാര പണിതു-മാനജ്‌മെന്റ്‌്‌ അത്‌ വിശ്വസിച്ചു. ടീമിന്‌ വേണ്ടി സ്വയം സമര്‍പ്പിച്ച പരിശീലകന്‍ പുറത്തായപ്പോള്‍ ടീമിന്റെ അധ:പതനവും തുടങ്ങി. ഇപ്പോഴിതാ വിവ. അവരും തപ്പിതടയുകയാണ്‌. കേരളത്തിലെ വാഴ്‌സിറ്റി ടീമുകളും ഒരു കാലത്ത്‌ അഖിലേന്ത്യാ തലത്തില്‍ ഒന്നാമന്മാരായിരുന്നു. അശുതോഷ്‌ മുഖര്‍ജി ഷീല്‍ഡ്‌ കേരളത്തിന്‌ മാത്രമുള്ളതായിരുന്നു. പക്ഷേ ഇന്നത്തെ തലമുറക്കറിയില്ല അശുതോഷ്‌ മുഖര്‍ജിയെയും ആ ഷീല്‍ഡിനെയും. സന്തോഷ്‌ ട്രോഫിയില്‍ ക്ലസ്റ്റര്‍ മല്‍സരങ്ങളില്‍ കളിക്കാന്‍ വിധിക്കപ്പെട്ട നമ്മുടെ ടീമില്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ പോപ്പുലര്‍ താരങ്ങളില്ല. ഒരു കാലത്ത്‌ ഫുട്ബോള് താരങ്ങളെ നെഞ്ചിലേറ്റിയ മലയാളികള്‍ ഇന്ന്‌ ടിനു യോഹന്നാനെയും എസ്‌.ശ്രീശാന്തിനെയുമെല്ലാമാണ്‌ ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്‌തത്‌... | ഞങ്ങള്‍ റെഡി-2 കമാല്‍ വരദൂര്‍ ഫുട്‌ബോളില്‍ നിന്നും കേരളത്തിന്റെ ചര്‍ച്ചകള്‍ ക്രിക്കറ്റിലേക്ക്‌ വഴുതി വീഴാന്‍ അവസരം നല്‍കിയത്‌ മറ്റാരുമായിരുന്നില്ല-നമ്മുടെ ഫുട്ബോള് ഭരണാധികരികളും താരങ്ങളും തന്നെയായിരുന്നു. സംസ്ഥാന ഫുട്‌ബോളിനെ ഭരിക്കുന്ന കേരളാ ഫുട്ബോള് അസോസിയേഷന് പറയാന്‍ പലവിധ കാരണങ്ങളുമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. നിരന്തരം അവരത്‌ പറഞ്ഞ്‌ കൊണ്ടേയിരിക്കുന്നു. താരങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗത്ത്‌ നിന്ന്‌ സംസാരിക്കാന്‍ എല്ലാവരുമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. എല്ലാവരും അവരോട്‌ സഹതാപം പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചു. പക്ഷേ കേരളത്തില്‍ ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പുകള്‍ മണ്‍മറഞ്ഞതിന്‌ അധികാരികള്‍ക്ക്‌ ഉത്തരവാദിത്ത്വം ഉള്ളത്‌ പോലെ ടീമുകള്‍ തകര്‍ന്നടിഞ്ഞതില്‍ താരങ്ങളുടെ പങ്കും വലുതായിരുന്നു. ഉന്നതങ്ങളിലെ താര ഈഗോയിലാണ്‌ കേരളാ പോലീസും എഫ്‌.സി കൊച്ചിനും എസ്‌.ബി.ടിയും തകര്‍ന്നത്‌. സത്യനും വിജയനും പാപ്പച്ചനും ഷറഫലിയും കുരികേശ്‌ മാത്യവും ചാക്കോയുമെല്ലാം കേരള പോലീസിനെ ഉയരങ്ങളിലെത്തിച്ചവരാണ്‌. ടീം വളര്‍ന്നപ്പോള്‍ താരങ്ങളും വളര്‍ന്നു. അതിനൊപ്പം സൂപ്പര്‍ ഈഗോയിസവും വളര്‍ന്നപ്പോള്‍ സ്വന്തം കാര്യം സിന്ദാബാദ്‌ എന്ന നിലയിലായി എല്ലാവരും. സ്വന്തം പ്രൊമോഷന്‍ എന്ന മുദ്രാവാക്യത്തില്‍ പോലീസിലെ താരങ്ങള്‍ സ്‌പോര്‍ട്‌സ്‌മാന്‍ സ്‌പിരിറ്റ്‌ മറന്ന കാഴ്‌ച്ചയില്‍ പഴയ ഡി.ജി.പി ജോസഫ്‌ സാര്‍ വിഭാവനം ചെയ്‌ത വിശാല കായികാടിത്തറ തകര്‍ന്നു തരിപ്പണമായി. താരങ്ങള്‍ പണം തേടി കൊല്‍ക്കത്തയിലേക്കും ഗോവയിലേക്കും ചേക്കേറി. എഫ്‌.സി കൊച്ചിന്റെ തുടക്കത്തില്‍ സൂപ്പര്‍താരങ്ങള്‍ പണത്തിനൊപ്പം സഞ്ചരിച്ച്‌ ടീമിന്റെ കുതിപ്പിന്‌ ഊര്‍ജ്ജം നല്‍കി. 2001-02 സീസണിലെ ദേശീയ ലീഗില്‍ എഫ്‌.സി കൊച്ചിന്‍ ഏറ്റവും അവസാന സ്ഥാനത്തായത്‌ ദയനീയമായ കാഴ്‌ച്ചയായിരുന്നു. അതോടെ ടീം തരം താഴ്‌്‌ത്തപ്പെട്ടപ്പോള്‍ 2002-03 സീസണില്‍ ദേശീയ ലീഗില്‍ കേരളത്തിന്‌ പ്രാതിനിധ്യമുണ്ടായില്ല. ഒരു കാലത്ത്‌ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സോക്കറിന്റെ ഈറ്റില്ലമായി വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ട സംസ്ഥാനമാണ്‌ ഈ വിധം ദരിദ്രമായത്‌. ടീമിന്റെ കഷ്‌ടകാലത്തില്‍ താരങ്ങള്‍ കൂടെ നിന്നില്ല. സ്വന്തം രക്ഷ തേടി എല്ലാവരും യാത്രയായപ്പോള്‍ ആദ്യ പ്രൊഫഷണല്‍ ക്ലബിന്‌ അതിവേഗമരണമായിരുന്നു. എസ്‌.ബി.ടി ശരിക്കുമൊരു ഡിപ്പാര്‍ട്ട്‌മെന്റല്‍ ടീമായിരുന്നു. ധാരാളം പരിമിതകള്‍ അവര്‍ക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. പക്ഷേ നല്ല ഒരു പറ്റം താരങ്ങളും മികച്ച പരിശീലകനുമായപ്പോള്‍ മലയാളികളുടെ മാത്രം ടീമെന്ന ഖ്യാതിയുമായി അവര്‍ ഉയരങ്ങള്‍ കയറി. ഈ ഉയര്‍ച്ചയില്‍ താരങ്ങള്‍ വന്ന വഴി മറന്നു-ടീം തകര്‍ന്നു. ടീമുകളുടെ ഈ തകര്‍ച്ചകള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ ദേശീയ ടീമില്‍ മലയാള സാന്നിദ്ദ്യവും ഇല്ലാതാവുകയായിരുന്നു. ഒരു കാലത്ത്‌ എട്ട്‌ മലയാളികള്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ടീമില്‍ കളിച്ചിരുന്നു. ആസ്ഥാനത്ത്‌ വിജയനും ജോപോളും മാത്രമായി. അവര്‍ക്ക്‌ ശേഷം എന്‍.പി പ്രദീപും അജയനും അബ്ദുള് ഹക്കീമുമായി. ഇപ്പോള്‍ പ്രദീപ്‌ മാത്രം. കേരളാ ടീമുകളില്‍ കളിച്ചത്‌ കൊണ്ട്‌ കാര്യമില്ലെന്ന സത്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കിയാണ്‌ പ്രദീപിനെ പോലുളളവര്‍ മറുകണ്ടം ചാടിയത്‌. അത്‌ കൊണ്ട്‌ ദേശീയ ഫുട്ബോള് മേലധികാരികളുടെ ശ്രദ്ധ നേടാനായി. മഹീന്ദ്ര യുനൈറ്റഡിന്‌ വേണ്ടി കളിക്കാന്‍ കരാര്‍ ചെയ്‌തത്‌ മൂലം പ്രദീപിനും അജയനുമെല്ലാം ഡ്യറാന്‍ഡ്‌ കപ്പിലും ഐ.എഫ്‌.എ ഷീല്‍ഡിലുമെല്ലാം കളിക്കാന്‍ പറ്റി. ഹക്കീം ബാങ്ക്‌ വിടാന്‍ തയ്യാറായിരുന്നില്ല. ആസിഫ്‌ സഹീര്‍ എന്ന ബാങ്ക്‌ മുന്‍നിരക്കാരനെ പലരും മറഡോണയോട്‌ പോലും ഉപമിച്ചിരുന്നു. ആ താരത്തിനെ പക്ഷേ നമ്മുടെ ദേശീയ സെലക്ടര്‍മാര്‍ കണ്ടതേയില്ല. വളരെ പെട്ടെന്ന്‌ ശ്രദ്ധ നേടിയ താരങ്ങളെല്ലാം ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പുകളുടെ അകാല മരണത്തില്‍ സെവന്‍സിന്റെ തട്ടകങ്ങളില്‍ പോലും പന്ത്‌ തട്ടാന്‍ വിധിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരായിരുന്നു. കേരളാ ഫുട്‌ബോളില്‍ പലരും പ്രൊഫഷണലിസത്തെക്കുറിച്ച്‌ വാചാലരായെങ്കിലും ആരും അത്‌ പ്രാവര്‍ത്തികമാക്കാന്‍ തയ്യാറായിരുന്നില്ല. ഇവിടെയാണ്‌ വലിയ പിഴവ്‌ സംഭവിച്ചത്‌. പരാജയങ്ങളില്‍ ബലിയാടുകളെ കണ്ടെത്തിയുള്ള പരിഹാരം ശാശ്വതമായിരുന്നില്ല. പരിശീലകരായിരുന്നു പലപ്പോഴും ഇരകളായവര്‍. മാഞ്ചസ്‌റ്റര്‍ യുനൈറ്റഡിനെ പോലെ വലിയ ക്ലബ്‌ ഒരു പരീശലകനുമായി പ്രൊഫഷണലിസത്തിന്റെ ശക്തരായ വക്താക്കളായി ലോകം മുഴുവന്‍ നിറഞ്ഞ സമയത്തും നമ്മുടെ ടീമുകള്‍ ഓരോ സീസണിലും പരിശീലകരെ മാറ്റികൊണ്ടേയിരുന്നു. ഫെര്‍ഗൂസണില്‍ മാഞ്ചസ്റ്ററിന്‌ വിശ്വാസമുണ്ട്‌. ഡേവിഡ്‌ ബെക്കാമിനെയും കൃസ്റ്റിയാനോ റൊണാള്‍ഡോയെയും പോലുള്ളവര്‍ കളം മാറിയിട്ടും മാഞ്ചസ്‌റ്ററിനെ അത്‌ ബാധിക്കാത്തത്‌ കരുത്തനായ പരിശീലകനുള്ളത്‌ കൊണ്ടാണ്‌. നമ്മുടെ ടീമുകള്‍ വസ്‌ത്രം മാറുന്നത്‌ പോലെയാണ്‌ പരിശീലകരെ മാറ്റുന്നത്‌. സ്വന്തം നിലനില്‍പ്പിനായി പരിശീലകര്‍ താരങ്ങളുടെ പ്രീതി തേടുന്നതോടെ കളിയില്‍ കാര്യമില്ലാതെ വന്നു-ഫ്‌ളാഷ്‌ ബാക്ക്‌ ഇവിടെ അവസാനിക്കുന്നു. ഇങ്ങനെ താറുമാറായ കേരളാ ഫുട്‌ബോളിനെ രക്ഷിക്കാന്‍ എന്നെങ്കിലുമൊരാള്‍ വരുമെന്ന പ്രതീക്ഷ പൂര്‍ണ്ണമായും ആരും കൈവിട്ടിട്ടില്ല. ഫുട്ബോള് എന്ന മനോഹരമായ ഗെയിമിന്റെ മഹത്വത്തെ ലോകം ഏറ്റുപാടുമ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ക്കൊപ്പം അഭിമാനത്തോടെ നില്‍ക്കാന്‍ നമ്മുടെ കൗമാരവും യുവതയുമെല്ലാം തയ്യാറാവുന്നതാണ്‌ വിസ്‌മയമായ കാഴ്‌ച്ച. ഫുട്‌ബോളറായിട്ട്‌ സാമ്പത്തിക നേട്ടമില്ല എന്ന്‌ പറയുന്ന രക്ഷിതാക്കളോട്‌ കാല്‍പ്പന്തിന്റെ വശ്യമനോഹാരിതയെക്കുറിച്ച്‌ സംസരിക്കാന്‍ കരുത്തുള്ള കുട്ടികളാണ്‌ ഇപ്പോഴുള്ളത്‌. ശ്രീശാന്തിന്റെ പിന്‍ഗാമികളായി, ഐ.പി.എല്‍ പോലുള്ള കോടി മാമാങ്കങ്ങളില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്ത്‌ അതിവേഗം ധനവാനായി, ബഹുദൂരം എളുപ്പത്തില്‍ സഞ്ചരിക്കാന്‍ വഴികളുണ്ടായിട്ടും സോക്കര്‍ പ്രിയതയിലേക്ക്‌ ആകര്‍ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന കുട്ടികള്‍ ധൈര്യസമേതമാണ്‌ പറയുന്നത്‌ ഞങ്ങള്‍ റെഡിയെന്ന്‌. പണ്ട്‌ വലിയ ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പുകള്‍ മാത്രം നടന്നിരുന്ന കേരളത്തില്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ സ്‌ക്കൂള്‍തല ഫുട്ബോള് മല്‍സരങ്ങളും ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പുകളുമാണ്‌ മൈതാനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌ ജിവന്‍ നല്‍കുന്നത്‌. താരങ്ങളെ കണ്ടെത്തി അവര്‍ക്ക്‌ ശിക്ഷണം നല്‍കാന്‍ പഴയ കാല ഫുട്‌ബോളര്‍മാര്‍ സ്വന്തം പണം മുടക്കുന്നു. കോഴിക്കോട്‌ ജില്ലയില്‍ മാത്രം ഡിസംബറില്‍ നടന്നത്‌ നാല്‌ ഇന്റര്‍ സ്‌ക്കൂള്‍ ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പുകളാണ്‌. ഒളിംപ്യന്‍ റഹ്‌മാന്‍ മെമ്മോറിയല്‍ ട്രസ്‌റ്റിന്റെ ഇന്റര്‍ സ്‌ക്കൂള്‍ ഫുട്ബോള് കോര്‍പ്പറേഷന്‍ സ്‌റ്റേഡിയത്തില്‍ നടന്നപ്പോള്‍ മലബാര്‍ കൃസ്‌റ്റിയന്‍ കോളജ്‌ മൈതാനത്ത്‌ യൂണിവേഴ്‌സല്‍ സോക്കറിന്റെ ഫുട്ബോള് കാര്‍ണിവലായിരുന്നു. അതിനിടെ തന്നെ സെന്റ ജോസഫ്‌സ്‌ സ്‌ക്കൂളില്‍ അരങ്ങേറിയ ഇന്റര്‍ സ്‌ക്കൂള്‍ ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പില്‍ മലബാര്‍ | ഞങ്ങള്‍ റെഡി-3 കമാല്‍ വരദൂര്‍ കേരളത്തില്‍ ഫുട്ബോള് മുരടിപ്പിന്‌ ഔദ്യോഗികമായി നിരത്തപ്പെടുന്ന പതിവ്‌ കാരണങ്ങളുണ്ട്‌. സാമ്പത്തിക പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങളും സ്‌പോണ്‍സര്‍മാരുടെ താല്‍പ്പര്യക്കുറവും മൈതാനങ്ങളുടെ അസോസിയേഷന് പതിവ്‌ ചട്ടക്കൂടുണ്ട്‌. അതില്‍ നിന്നും അണുകിട അവര്‍ വ്യതിചലിക്കില്ല. ഔദ്യോഗിക കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ പോലെ ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്ന കെ.എഫ്‌.എ യുടെ ചലനങ്ങളില്‍ ഫുട്‌ബോളിന്‌ ജീവന്‍ ലഭിക്കുന്നില്ല. കാറ്റഗറി ടൂര്‍ണ്ണമെന്റുകളും ടീം സെലക്ഷനും കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ അതിനപ്പുറത്തേക്ക്‌ സഞ്ചരിക്കാനുളള ഊര്‍ജ്ജം അവര്‍ക്കില്ല. പക്ഷേ സ്വകാര്യ സംരഭകര്‍ക്ക്‌ ചലിക്കാനുളള ഊര്‍ജ്ജമുണ്ട്‌. അവരെ തടയാന്‍ ചുവപ്പുനാടകളില്ല. ഫുട്‌ബോളിലെ പുതിയ ചലനങ്ങള്‍ അറിയാനും അത്‌ പ്രാവര്‍ത്തികമാക്കാനും അവര്‍ തയ്യാറെടെുക്കുന്നത്‌ കൊണ്ടാണ്‌ നമ്മുടെ ഫുട്‌ബോളില്‍ പുതിയ മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍ സംജാതമാവുന്നത്‌. ഫുട്ബോള് അക്കാദമികളും ട്രസ്‌റ്റുകളും ക്ലബുകളും തുടക്കത്തില്‍ തന്നെ കുട്ടികളെ പിടികൂടുന്നു. ക്യാച്ച്‌ ദം യംഗ്‌ എന്ന ഫിഫയുടെ മുദ്രാവാക്യം ഉയര്‍ത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചാണ്‌ കര്‍ക്കശമായ സെലക്ഷന്‍ പ്രക്രിയയില്‍ മിടുക്കരായ കുട്ടികളെ ഫുട്ബോള് കളരികളിലേക്ക്‌ വരുന്നത്‌. ഇപ്പോള്‍ നടക്കുന്ന സെലക്ഷന്‍ പ്രക്രിയകളിലെല്ലാം ജനന സര്‍ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ്‌ മുതല്‍ എല്ലാ കാര്യങ്ങളും കൃത്യമായി പരിഗണിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്‌. കുട്ടികളുടെ സെലകഷ്‌ന്‌ ശേഷം അവരുടെ ഫിറ്റ്‌നസ്‌-ആരോഗ്യ കാര്യങ്ങളില്‍ നിദാന്ത ജാഗ്രത പാലിക്കുന്നു. കുട്ടികളുടെ സ്‌ക്കൂള്‍ പഠനത്തെ ബാധിക്കാത്ത തരത്തില്‍ അവധിക്കാലത്ത്‌ ക്യാമ്പുകള്‍ ഒരുക്കി, ക്യാമ്പുകളുടെ ചുമതല പ്രശസ്‌തരായവര്‍ക്ക്‌ നല്‍കിയാണ്‌ കുട്ടികളുടെ താല്‍പ്പര്യത്തിലേക്ക്‌ അവരെ ഒരുക്കിയെടുക്കുന്നത്‌. യൂറോപ്യന്‍ രാജ്യങ്ങള്‍ പ്രാവര്‍ത്തികമാക്കുന്ന തരത്തില്‍ ആരോഗ്യകരമായ സമീപനത്തിലുടെയാണ്‌ ഫുട്‌ബോളറെ വാര്‍ത്തെടുക്കുന്നത്‌. 90 മിനുട്ട്‌ കളിക്കാനുളള ഊര്‍ജ്ജമില്ലാത്ത കുട്ടികളെ വളര്‍ത്തിയിട്ട്‌ കാര്യമില്ല. അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ 90 മിനുട്ടും മൈതാനത്ത്‌ കരുത്തോടെ പൊരുതാനുള്ള ആരോഗ്യം വളര്‍ത്തിയെടുക്കാനുള്ള കാഴ്‌ച്ചപ്പാട്‌ വേണം. പ്രോട്ടീന്‍ ഭക്ഷണങ്ങള്‍ നമ്മുടെ കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക്‌ ധാരാളം ലഭിക്കുന്നു. കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കും അവരുടെ രക്ഷിതാകള്‍ക്കും വളരെ വ്യക്തമായി ആരോഗ്യ പരിപാലന രീതികള്‍ അറിയാം. വാം അപ്പ്‌ എക്‌സര്‍സൈസുകള്‍ നോക്കുക- മനോഹരമായാണ്‌ നമ്മുടെ കുട്ടികള്‍ അത്‌ ചെയ്യുന്നത്‌. മുന്‍കാലത്ത്‌ ഒരു ഫുട്‌ബോളര്‍ വളരുന്നത്‌ സ്വന്തം പരിശീലനത്തിലാണെങ്കില്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ പ്രൊഫഷണല്‍ സമീപനത്തില്‍ നല്ല തു ടക്കം അവര്‍ക്ക്‌ ലഭിക്കുന്നു. ഒമ്പത്‌ വയസ്സിന്‌ താഴെയുളള ഒരു കുട്ടിക്ക്‌ ഫുട്‌ബോളിലേക്ക്‌ വരുമ്പോള്‍ തന്നെ ഫുട്‌ബോളിന്റെ ലോകത്ത്‌ വിശാലമായ കാഴ്‌ച്ചപ്പാടുണ്ട്‌. ടെലിവിഷനില്‍ കൃസ്റ്റിയാനോ റൊണാള്‍ഡോയും വെയിന്‍ റൂണിയും പന്ത്‌ തട്ടുന്നത്‌ അവന് കാണുന്നുണ്ട്‌. കളിക്കു വേണ്ട ബൂട്ടും പാഡുകളും ജഴ്‌സിയുമെല്ലാം ലഭിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ഉണ്ടാവുന്ന ഉണര്‍വ്‌ അവന്റെ പരിശീലനത്തില്‍ കാണാം. സ്‌പോണ്‍സര്‍മാരില്ലാതെ എന്ത്‌ ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പ്‌ എന്ന ഔദ്യോഗിക വിലാപത്തിന്‌ പ്രായം അധികമുണ്ട്‌. പണം മുടക്കാന്‍ വലിയ ഒരു കോര്‍പ്പറേറ്റ്‌്‌ കമ്പനിയില്ലെങ്കില്‍ ഒന്നും നടക്കില്ല എന്ന വിശ്വാസത്തിലാണ്‌ നമ്മുടെ ഫുട്ബോള് ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പുകള്‍ മരവിച്ചത്‌. എന്നാല്‍ സ്വയം മുന്നിട്ടിറങ്ങിയാല്‍ ഒരു വലിയ സൗകര്യങ്ങള്‍ ഒരുക്കിയത്‌ ജനങ്ങളായിരുന്നു. കാസര്‍ക്കോട്‌ നടന്ന രണ്ട്‌ ടൂര്‍ണ്ണമെന്റുകളില്‍ കളിക്കാന്‍ അയല്‍ സംസ്ഥാനമായ കര്‍ണ്ണാടകയില്‍ നിന്ന്‌ പോലും ടീമുകളെത്തി. കോഴിക്കോട്‌ ജില്ലാ ഫുട്ബോള് അസോസിയേഷന് നടത്തിയ ടാറ്റാ ടീ ആഴ്‌സനല്‍ ഇന്റര്‍ സ്‌ക്കൂള്‍ ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പിന്‌ മാത്രമായിരുന്നു വലിയ സ്‌പോണ്‍സറുണ്ടായിരുന്നത്‌. ഓര്‍മ്മ കാര്‍ണിവലിനും യൂനിവേഴ്‌സല്‍ ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പിനും വെറ്ററന്‍ ഫുട്‌ബോളേഴ്‌സിന്റെ ടൂര്‍ണ്ണമെന്റിനും മുഖ്യ പ്രായോജകരുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. ഇവിടെ വിജയിക്കുന്നത്‌ സ്വയം മുന്നിട്ടിറങ്ങാനുളള ഊര്‍ജ്ജമാണ്‌. ഒരു ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പിനെ വിജയിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്കാവുന്നുവെങ്കില്‍ അടുത്ത വര്‍ഷം ഉറപ്പാക്കാന്‍ അക്കാദമികള്‍ക്ക്‌ കഴിയണം. നിയമം അനുശാസിക്കുന്ന വലുപ്പത്തിലുളള, സൗകര്യങ്ങളുളള മൈതാനം ലഭിക്കുക എളുപ്പമല്ല. അപ്പോള്‍ ലഭ്യതക്കനുസരിച്ചുളള സൗകര്യങ്ങളുമായി സമരസപ്പെടണം. മൈതാനത്തിന്റെ വലുപ്പത്തില്‍ ആകൃഷ്‌ടരാവുന്നവരല്ല കാണികള്‍. അങ്ങനെയാണെങ്കില്‍ സെവന്‍സ്‌ മല്‍സരങ്ങള്‍ വിജയിക്കില്ല. മാനസികാരോഗ്യ കാര്യത്തിലാണ്‌ കേരളം പലപ്പോഴും പിറകോട്ട്‌ പോയിട്ടുള്ളത്‌. 90 മിനുട്ട്‌ കളിക്കാനുളള മാനസിക-ശാരീരിക കരുത്ത്‌ പലപ്പോഴും താരങ്ങള്‍ക്കുണ്ടാവാറില്ല. ആദ്യ പകുതിയില്‍ അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ച്‌ കളിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ രണ്ടാം പകുതിയില്‍ അതേ പോലെ തളരുന്നത്‌ പതിവ്‌ കാഴ്‌ച്ചയാണ്‌. മാനസികമായി വലിയ മല്‍സരങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌ തയ്യാറെടുക്കുമ്പോഴുണ്ടാവേണ്ട യോഗ്യതകളെക്കുറിച്ച്‌ പോലും ഇപ്പോള്‍ അക്കാദമികള്‍ കുട്ടികളുമായി സംവദിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്‌. പ്രതിയോഗികളെ പരാജയപ്പെടുത്താന്‍ മാനസികമായ ഊര്‍ജ്ജമാണ്‌ പരമപ്രധാനം. ഫുട്‌ബോളിന്റെ ആദ്യാവസാന കാര്യങ്ങളിലുടെയുള്ള പ്രായോഗിക പഠനം ചെറിയ പ്രായത്തില്‍ തന്നെ ലഭിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക്‌ അത്‌ നല്ല വഴികാട്ടിയാവുന്നു. വലിയ ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പുകളില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കാന്‍ അവസരം ലഭിക്കുന്നത്‌്‌ ശരിയായ ബോണസാണ്‌. സുബ്രതോ കപ്പ്‌ പോലുള്ള സ്‌ക്കൂള്‍ തല ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പുകള്‍ യഥാര്‍ത്ഥ പരീക്ഷണശാലയാണ്‌. കൂടുതല്‍ അറിവും, മല്‍സരാനുഭവങ്ങളും, ശിക്ഷണവും ചെറിയ പ്രായത്തില്‍ ലഭിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ കുട്ടികളിലെ | GUWAHATI, Dec 30: It's simply unbelievable! What a fantastic team effort displayed by Shillong Lajong FC to storm into the final of the 31st Hero Honda Federation Cup Soccer Tournament! The Shillong outfit outclassed Churchill Brothers, the best team of the country with two titles this year, by 1-0 at the Nehru Stadium today. The final of the tournament is scheduled to be held on January 3 and whatever might be the result of that game, it would not be a matter of concern for the soccer lovers of Northeast as they feel that Lajong is the ultimate winner of this championship particularly after today's match. A good number of crowds, many of whom came from Shillong driving their own vehicles, witnessed the game and later they gave standing ovation to Shillong Lajong FC after the end of the game. What was most surprising is that sports scribes, who generally did not react on an incident, also joined the crowd in the media box. Just yesterday the coach of Shillong Lajong FC, Stanley Rozario had said that his team has nothing to lose and he also managed to make the players understand this point very well. So fancied opponent could not create any panic on the team and whenever Churchill Brothers went for an attack Lajong too countered and got the result. The opponent perhaps were not ready for this tactic and so Lajong's sudden attack caught them in wrong foot several occasions thus enforcing them to commit mistakes. Stanley knew it very well that if his side want to win the match, their defence had to put the best foot forward. And today, they exactly did the same to keep the fans at their toes. Led by Danial Bidemi, the defenders held the grip of the match from the start and did not allow Odafe, the goal machine, to reign in their region. Though it was the team effort that gave Lajong a great victory, there was one player in the team whose name should be individually taken and he was no other then the goalkeeper of the team Gumphe Rime. He was brilliant below the bar and saved one spot kick. The all decisive goal was scored by Shillong Lajong FC speedster Seikhohau Tuboi in the 29th minute. Naoba Singh failed to clear James Giblee pass as Tuboi pounced on it to send Churchill Brothers on the back foot. A few minutes later, Churchill Brothers got a good chance to return the goal but that time they found a wall in front of the goal in the form of Gumphe Rime. Gumphe pulled off a brilliant save from the spot. Odafe was brought down by Niwano Gatpoh inside the box and referee Rathin Mukherjee awarded penalty in favour of Churchill Brothers in the 35th minute. The Nigerian striker himself took the shot but failed to convert from the spot. Trailing by a goal, Churchill Brothers did come all guns blazing in the second half but were kept at bay by the Lajong defence and especially Odafa himself made few good attempts but Rime was unbeatable today. The lose thrashed Goan side out of the Federation Cup. It is for the second consecutive time such things were happened for Churchill Brothers. Last year Federation Cup journey too ended in the semifinals when they went down to Dempo 0-2. What they said: Stanley Rozario (coach of Shillong Lajong FC): I am not really surprised at all on the result of semifinal. I have full faith on my team and my boys proved it on Wednesday. The entire credit of this success should go to the team and the members of the club. We knew it very well that Churchill Brothers is a very good team and to play against them we must bring out the best on right time and my boys did it perfectly. Many may want to know which one was the turning point of the game- the goal we scored or Gumphe's save in the penalty. But I feel both were equally important for us on way to win the game. Larsing Ming Sawyan (the key official of Lajong FC): It is definitely a great day for the football of Meghalaya as well as the entire Northeast. You would hardly believe that we have few such boys who never even watched I league match in television before and they joined in Shillong Lajong FC. But still we managed to pull up a great performance here and all the credit should go to my teammate. Carlos Periera (coach of Churchill Brothers): The Federation Cup reached into the knock out stage and so only two results could happen on Wednesday- either we would win or they and the latter happened. Shillong Lajong FC developed their game very well and they maintained their good effort against us also. We missed a few opportunities but it happened in football. | By our Sports Reporter GUWAHATI, Dec 30: It could be nothing better for the soccer lovers of city to celebrate the new years eve with a match between two arch rivals of the country. Mohun Bagan and East Bengal will fight each other to earn the final berth of the 31st Federation Cup Soccer Tournament and the game would be held at the Nehru Stadium here on Thursday evening. It would be the repeat of the last edition of Federation Cup semifinals when two Kolkata giants locked their horns. The match is very crucial from the point of East Bengal as their side is going though a lean period this season and already suffered a humiliating defeat of 3-5 against the same opponent in I League match. However, under the new coach Philippe De Rider the team started to regroup themselves and return of Indian team captain Bhaichung would definitely improve the side's level of confidence. East Bengal played their group matches at Silchar didn't concede a goal in the tournament which indicated that their defence is working well. But the same thing is not applicable in the forward line as they are yet to come out firing all cylinders. Talking to the mediapersons just after the practise session today Rider said, "We are now under process to regroup the team and a win would be fantastic for us." However, he maintained that it was not a revenge match of the team for 5-3 defeat against Bagan in the I league. "No revenge. We just want to win the game playing good soccer." But the way Mohun Bagan are performing in this season, the supporters of East Bengal too are not so much confident whether the side would be ale to reach the final in this competition defeating Bagan. But Rider is not at all worried about Bagan's form. "We are also playing well and after ten-men win against JCT, the team's spirit is now much high." However, Rider today expressed dissatisfaction on the standard of the referee in the tournament. According to him, the standard of referee is not up to the mark and it created a lot of problem to the team as well as players. He also felt the number of injury to the player also rose due to this. Meanwhile, Bagan have been very impressive in this tournament, starting off with a comfortable win over Mohammedan Sporting. They drew next game against Chirag United, but they saved their best for the must-win match against Mahindra. The most important points is that both of their forwards- Baretto and Chiddi are in very good form. The last time Chiddi played against East Bengal, he scored four. Here too he is in good form and already added two in his name. The forward is also instrumental in creating chances as well. On the other hand Baretto, whose job is to just score goal, always took a lot of load to help the team in every way. Bagan have edges over their rivals — they've played all their games in Guwahati, and they already adjusted with the condition of the city. On the other hand, their preparation for the semifinal has been more rigorous, having played Mahindra, Chirag, and Mohammedan. But still coach Karim Bencherifa is not found in relax mood today. After an hour work out with the team Bencherifa said that 5-3 win against arch rival in I league is now history. "It didn't happen every day. It is new competition and we have to start fresh against our opponent." When asked whether Bhaichung's presence in East Bengal would make any big difference he said, "I don't know. I respect Bhaichung as a player but I can only give you the answer of your question related to Bagan." After a long period Bhaichung returned into East Bengal this season and it would be his first match against Bagan for his new team. But the star forward didn't want to admit that there would be any extra pressure on him. There was always little pressure on a player when he entered into the field to play against any opponent. Meanwhile, Bagan hero Baretto today don't want to make any one favourite in this match. He felt that team would win the match who would prepare themselves well for this derby.
