Pre-Olympic Qualifier: India probables for Qatar Top
The Indian national Under-23 team will be taking on Qatar in the Round2 of Asian qualifiers for the 2012 London Olympics. The probables for the camp have been announced by the AIFF. The India Under-23 have been given a tough draw as our side will have to face Gulf nation Qatar home-and-away on June 19 and June 23 to make it into the group stage. In the first round India had beaten neighbours Myanmar 3-2 on aggregate in a home-and-away tie. With the I-league over more players from league sides have been included to make the squad as strong as possible. New faces in the squad are Ravi Kumar, Gurjinder Kumar, Snehashis Chakroborty, Anthony Barbosa and Zakir Mundampara; while Arindam Bhattacharya, Nirmal Chetri, Nalappan Mohanraj, Subodh Kumar, Bikramjit Singh, Malsawmfela and Robin Singh are not in the squad due to injuries or other reasons.
