Current league leader TRAU was hold to 1-1 draw by NEROCA in a MSL match played today at Mapal Kangjeibung. TRAU had an early lead in the match as L Bikram put in a beatiful goal into the NEROCA net in 6th minute. Although TRAU had one goal advantage, the first half of the match saw stiff competition amongst players of the two teams as NEROCA player made every attempt to equalise the one goal deficit. However, NEROCA player could not made the equaliser till the end first half. As the second half progresses, the match was even more competitive as TRAU player looked for more goals and NEROCA player looked hungry for the equaliser, but yeilded no results. However, in the dying minute of the match, N Milan found the vital equaliser for the Imphal East club as he netted in all important goal in the 90+3 minute turning the match into an exciting finish. Later, in another MSL match, defending champion NISA routed ESU by 6-1 goals thereby putting the later's team management to jeorpady. For NISA W Danial scored twice in the 11th and 31st minute while N Jimmy too scored twice in the 18th and 82nd (penalty). I Ibotomba and Nabachandra scored one goal each in the 65th and 89th minute respectively. Ph Heeman scored the only goal for the ESU in the 9th minute from a spot kick. | |
